Location: Upper Framilode

The Ship Inn is the last surviving pub in Framilode and has traded as a pub for over 100 years. It opened its doors serving the barge men who worked on the Stroudwater Canal. The canal junction with the Severn could only be used at high tides, and the barge crews would have to wait for the tide at Framilode.
